Privacy policy

Squared Away Tech is a veteran-owned IT business run by Greg Mitchell, serving the Tampa Bay and Sarasota area (Bradenton, Sarasota, Tampa, Ellenton, Lakewood Ranch, St. Petersburg, Palmetto, Venice and Parrish), serving small offices across Florida, and remotely anywhere in the U.S. This page explains what information this website collects and what I do with it.

The contact form

When you fill out a form on this site, I receive what you type: usually your name, email, phone number, company and message. The form is delivered to my email inbox by a form-delivery service. I use this information only to reply to you and to talk about the work you asked about.

Booking an appointment

The “Book” links take you to my Cal.com booking page (cal.com/squaredawaytech/checkup). When you book, Cal.com collects the name, email and any notes you enter, and I receive them so I can meet with you. Cal.com’s own privacy policy covers how Cal.com handles that page.

Email and phone

If you email, call or text me, I keep those messages so I can follow up and keep a record of our work together. I don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be on one, and you can ask to be removed at any time.

Visitor analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits, see which pages are useful and know when a contact or checklist form has been submitted. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type and the site that referred you. I see only totals and trends, not who you are, and I don’t send your name or email to Google Analytics. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies. The site also uses its hosting provider’s cookie-free visit counts and does not run advertising scripts.

What I never do

• I never sell, rent or trade your information.
• I don’t share it with anyone except the services needed to run this site and reply to you, or if the law requires it.
• I don’t ask for passwords through this website or by email.

Client work

If you become a client, anything I see in your systems is kept confidential and handled under our written service agreement. When I set up password management for clients I use Bitwarden, and I never keep copies of your passwords outside it.

Your choices

You can ask me to show you, correct or delete the information I have about you. Just email me and I’ll take care of it.
